Skartdo has come up with an exciting new way to allow the world to become aquainted with Portland, Maine. Each week a member of their crack staff will go out and choose a member of the community to interview. They will then bring that interview back to Skart Designs to put it up on the net. The idea is to let the planet meet Portland. They will see and hear what an interesting city those of us lucky enough to live here have made for ourselves.
Net surfers won't come to your site unless they have a reason. Last month we spoke about interesting links, This time content of a different sort.
Skartdo's "Portland People" is a fine example of something that people like to see. Every one does have a story and they and their friends often like to read about it. People are generally interesting, it's just that sometimes a reporter has to dig for the interest a bit.
For your web page, a feature doesn't have to have anything to do with your site. It just has to be interesting to your target audience. If you can fit a mention of your product into the feature it becomes that much better.
